The Sono Hanoi Hotel

Staying at Sono Hanoi Hotel made our Vietnam trip truly unforgettable. The staff were exceptional, warm, empathetic, and always ready to help with anything we needed. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to take care of us, arranging airport transfers, helping us book tours, giving thoughtful food and shopping recommendations, and constantly checking in to make sure we were comfortable. They even packed breakfast for us on the day we had to leave early for a day tour, a small gesture that says so much about the kind of hospitality they offer. They also took such great care of my parents, which meant the world to me. It’s rare to find service this genuine, we truly felt at home, not like guests in a hotel, but like we were staying with close friends. The hotel itself is in a perfect location, on a peaceful street just a short walk from the heart of the Old Quarter. It’s quiet enough to relax but close enough to walk to everything. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds are great, but it’s the people who make this place unforgettable. If you’re heading to Hanoi, please don’t think twice. Book your stay at Sono, let them help you plan your tours, follow their food tips, and enjoy the peace of mind that comes from being in such good hands. They’re honest, kind, and truly exceptional hosts. I haven’t stopped raving about them since we got back and would return in a heartbeat.

The staff and Ms. Lee. Every staff member makes sure you stay in Hanoi goes well. They have a wealth of knowledge on the tours available.The room has everything you need and clean. Breakfast was I say was plenty and I enjoyed the noodles and fruits the most. The breakfast room is on the top floor with roof top views of Old Quarter.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. They also provide a tour agency where you can book tours and bus or train tickets. The location was great, very easy to find from Long Bien Bus Station (and easy to go to from the airport with bus 86). It’s 10 to 15min away by foot to the Hoan Kiem lake, so you are just on the edge of the Old Quarter, which is super convenient for taking grabs or eat at local non-touristy places. The rooms are clean and the neighborhood is quiet, compared to the center of Hoan Kiem. We will come back !

We started our 2 week Vietnam trip in Hanoi and booked the first two days in The Sono Hanoi. For us it’s the perfect place to stay in Hanoi! Lee has been so nice from the first second, so we felt like home after the long flight! The staff gave us really good advices for sightseeing and delicious restaurants, cafes. We booked a tour to Cao Bang with a private driver and guide at The Sono and what can we say, it was perfect! We really had such a great time, with so many impressions we'll never forget! We really recommend to stay & book the tour at the Sono. Thank you so much guys for making our first trip in Vietnam unforgettable.

We booked The Sono Hanoi Hotel in through Booking. Lee is very prompt to respond. I also made enquiries about the Ha Long bay cruise and she gave me advice about that and booked for me at very good price. They kept in touch through whatsapp all the time. The room is simple but welcoming and clean. There is a queen bed, small fridge, TV, coffee and tea making facilities. The bed is very soft, the bathroom is clean and offers shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer etc. The staff offered some suggestions for restaurants. The hotel is close to all the Long Bien & Dong Xuan markets, the Hoan Kiem lake ect.
